ABOUT

PORTRAIT.jpg

Hi! My name is Erin. Welcome to my website where you can learn more about my career journey and professional services.

I am a newly qualified architectural designer based in Worthing, Sussex who just completed the Master in Architecture (RIBA Part II) course at the University of Brighton, finishing with a Merit! I have previously lived in London for 12 years where I trained for my BA Architecture (2:1) and had a chance to work for prestigious organisations like the NHS where I enjoyed working on complex projects and senior roles. Before my architecture training I went to Oxford University to study Architectural History, which shaped my appreciation of heritage buildings and vernacular architecture.

Outside the world of architecture my hobbies include digital photography, mixed media art and cooking! I like integrating the ideas I gathered through my travels and research into my own art and design. This was manifested in the buildings that I recently designed for my university studies and a holiday house I built in an island in the Pacific. Growing up in the Philippines and spending most of my adult life in the UK makes me interested in the fusion of Western and Oriental culture, and designing with nature. I have recently found interest in glass and pottery art since I like colours, textures and light.

Thanks for visiting!

This year was already packed with milestones, adventures, and local events. As a mature student, changing careers in my 30's was both exciting and challenging. Hard work and the support of my partner, family and friends helped me navigate the path to completing my Masters of Architecture course. My love for travelling, history, culture, and the arts have always manifested in my design. I believe that life is a constant exploration and development. Looking forward to see what's next!
