Testing the concept of time, space, matter and architectural relativity, my design thesis delves into the juxtaposition of culture, heritage and regeneration. Drawing inspiration from the potentials of the site that was explored in my previous project based on time maps, and the social impact of a performing arts venue to the creative city of Brighton, the Theatre of Relativity becomes the antithesis of traditional theatres that are often seen as gentrified or irrelevant to some members of the community. Instead, this is an opportunity to unite the people through art and mobilise local resources by improving public transportation in the area.
