How can architecture promote well-being? Most of our modern buildings are designed based on briefs, budgets, and legislations. But by incorporating nature in the design of our buildings, we realise that we are part of a bigger picture and by facilitating our connection with the environment we learn to appreciate what is beyond human life. This wellness centre situated at the junction of the High Weald AONB and the South Downs National Park encourages us to enjoy the liminal spaces where we synthesise fragments of our journey towards meaningful co-existence with people, places, and things in our biosphere.
